More Than 300 Students Took a chance at the Pistis Foundation ScholarshipÂ

For every child with big dreams, there is often one defining moment that can change the course of their future. For more than 300 students in Lagos, that moment came at the recently concluded Pistis Foundation Scholarship Assessment, where hope, determination, and opportunity came together under one roof.

We recently opened the doors of the Pistis Conference Centre early in the morning, and it quickly filled with the quiet buzz of possibility. Children in crisp uniforms sat with pencils ready. Parents held files, whispered prayers, and watched with that familiar mix of pride and worry. Each family had come for the same reason: a fair chance at quality education.
This is why our assessment is designed to see the whole child, not just a test score. Yes, there were academic papers. But after the writing stopped, the real conversations began. We sat with each student and asked about their favourite subjects, what they want to become, and what keeps them going when school gets hard. We also sat with their parents, listening to their stories, their sacrifices, and the dreams they carry for their children. It is how we understand not just brilliance, but resilience.

That holistic approach is the heart of the PF Scholarship Programme. We exist to find academically promising children from economically challenged backgrounds and walk the long road with them. Through partnerships with schools across several states in Nigeria, our scholars receive more than paid fees. They receive consistent mentorship, guidance, and a community that stays with them until they grow into confident leaders who give back.
The day worked because of people. Volunteers who welcomed families with a smile. Interviewers who listened more than they wrote. Assessors who treated every script with care. Partner schools who believe in this vision. And parents who trusted us with their greatest hope.
We have now moved into the next phase of selection. We celebrate every single student who showed up with courage. Not everyone will receive a scholarship this year, but each child reminded us why this work matters so deeply.
The journey is just beginning, and you can be part of it. Support the PF Scholarship Programme or Adopt a PF Scholar today, and help us turn that one defining moment into a lifetime of opportunity for another child.
