Lekan, a resident of our Kids-Off-The-Street (KOTS) Shelter, has just recorded Distinctions in every single subject in the 2026 National Examinations Council (NECO) Basic Education Certificate Examination.

A Journey That Started With Potential
Lekan joined the KOTS Shelter in 2021. From the beginning, those who worked with him noticed something special — a quiet determination that suggested he was destined for more than his circumstances had offered him so far.
That determination didn’t stay quiet for long.
In 2023, Lekan made history as one of the first children in our Shelter program to transition from primary to secondary school. He didn’t just make the leap — he did it in style, posting an outstanding result that set the tone for what was to come.
Since then, he hasn’t looked back. Every milestone has been an opportunity to raise the bar, and with this latest achievement, he’s done exactly that once again.
What Lekan’s Story Tells Us
