Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and creative Videographer/Content Strategist to join our team. As a Videographer/Content Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive content strategy that showcases the impact and stories of our programs and organization. You will gather and create high-quality video content, develop engaging videos for our digital media campaigns, and collaborate with our team to amplify our brand and message.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Strategy Development:
• Design and execute a comprehensive video content strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Set clear, measurable objectives for content performance and audience engagement.

2. High-Quality Video Production:
• Produce a diverse range of video content, including documentaries, short films, and social media clips, highlighting our impact stories, programs, and events.
• Ensure all video content meets high production standards and resonates with our target audience.

3. Collaborative Content Creation:
• Partner with team heads to develop engaging content strategies and video campaigns.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and themes for video content.

4. Event Coverage and Storytelling:
• Capture and produce compelling video content during special events to enhance storytelling and engagement.
• Document key moments and success stories to showcase our impact.

5. Video Management and Editing:
• Oversee the entire video production process, from scripting to final editing, ensuring top-notch quality.
• Utilize advanced editing techniques to enhance the visual and audio quality of video content.

6. Content Calendar Maintenance:
• Develop and maintain a detailed content calendar to ensure consistent and timely video content distribution.
• Monitor and adjust the calendar based on content performance and audience feedback.

7. Performance Analysis and Improvement:
• Regularly analyze video content performance metrics and generate detailed reports.
• Implement data-driven recommendations to continuously improve content strategy and production quality.

8. Industry Trends and Best Practices:
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in video production and content strategy.
• Incorporate innovative techniques and tools to enhance video content quality and engagement.

9. Content Storage and Accessibility:
• Organize and securely store video content on cloud platforms for easy access and safekeeping.
• Maintain a comprehensive archive of all video projects for uture reference and reuse.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Video Production, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in video production and content creation
  • Familiarity with non-profit organizations and social impact initiatives
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful content strategies
  • Excellent video production and editing skills (proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects)
  • Graphics design skill and knowledge in graphic design suites is an added advantage.
  • Strong storytelling and narrative development skills
  • Experience with digital media video content creation
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a team
  • Strong communication and project management skills

Measure of Success

1. Content Reach and Engagement:
• Achieve a 20% increase in views, likes, shares, and comments on video content across all digital platforms.
• Grow the follower/subscriber base by 15% on social media channels and video platforms.

2. Production Quality and Output:
• Produce and release a minimum of 8 high-quality video projects (e.g., documentaries, short films, social media clips) per quarter.
• Ensure 90% of video content receives positive feedback from stakeholders and audience, indicating high production standards.

3. Content Calendar Adherence:
• Maintain at least 95% adherence to the content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely release of video content.
• Adjust the content calendar based on performance analysis and audience feedback, with minimal disruptions.

4. Data-Driven Performance Improvement:
• Analyze and report on video content performance metrics monthly, with actionable insights.
• Implement at least 3 data-driven improvements per quarter to enhance content strategy and production quality.

5. Storage and Accessibility:
• Ensure 100% of video content is securely stored on cloud platforms and easily accessible for reference.
• Maintain a comprehensive and organized archive of all video projects, with no more than 1% of content missing or improperly archived.

  • Work Environment: Our office is located in Lagos Island. This is a hybrid full-time position, with occasional weekend work required.
